SafeJourney is currently on the lookout for full time Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Drivers who are dedicated to undertaking School Run Contracts with or without passenger assistant/guides on a daily basis throughout various cities.

As a driver for school run contracts, your role and responsibilities go beyond just safely transporting special needs or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college, or day care centres. You have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of your passengers by establishing positive and professional relationships with them and their carers/parents. It’s important to work in an effective, safe, and flexible manner to support the operation of the company.

Keeping the vehicle clean and roadworthy is also crucial in ensuring a pleasant travel experience for your passengers. By making yourself available both in the morning and afternoon on all school days, you are showing that you are committed to providing exceptional service to those you transport. As a friendly, polite, and kind driver, you have the power to make a difference in the lives of the vulnerable individuals you work with.

To meet the requirements for this role, all you need is a valid UK driving licence & a private hire or hackney carriage badge and the right to work in the UK. While previous experience can be helpful, it’s not essential. You’ll also need to pass an enhanced criminal record check, as you’ll be working with children, young people, and/or vulnerable adults.
